There are numerous small furniture shops in and around Palmares that construct beautiful furniture much of which is sold in the tourist town of Sarchi by dealers there. You can watch as this beautiful furniture takes shape by the craftsmen often with very basic furniture making tools.

Take a tour of the local coffee farms and the Palmares coffee processing plant and learn the steps that coffee goes through in its unique processing cycle.

One of the most famous orchid farms in all of Costa Rica is located in Palmares. There is also a wonderful flower farm located nearby that can be visited.

Visit the local museum of history in San Ramon only a few kilometers away and re-live some of the history of Costa Rica.
